Tim Biography

The instructor for all classes is Tim Bonack PT, DOMP (C), Physical Therapist and Canadian Trained Osteopath. Tim has 38 years of experience as a Physical Therapist and 20 years as a Canadian Trained Osteopath. He has trained with Osteopaths from all over the world and has spent the last 35 years using Osteopathic Manual Techniques applied to his Physical Therapy practice for the treatment of complex and longstanding pain syndromes. Tim is passionate about teaching these Manual Therapy techniques to like minded professionals.

I’ve worked with techniques and technology to support neurological improvements in the home health environment including a published pilot study. I took the Abdominal Mobilization I class with Tim and got a lot out of the class even as a recent massage school graduate. I feel way more confident with my palpation and anatomical knowledge and landmarks in the abdomen. Tim is very knowledgeable yet humble and patient. I have taken several continuing education courses in the last year + (Cranial 1, Heart/Thoracic 1, and Abdominal 1), and each course has greatly expanded my skillset and helped me help more patients. This coursework has helped me manage a myriad of physical deficits such as low back pain, nerve pain, headaches, numbness and tingling, help with mental/emotional challenges such as anxiety and brain fog, and helped with some digestion issues. I have been able to help several people in the last year decrease lifelong pain that no other therapist has been able to improve. The classes are very hands on with good faculty to student ratios for lots of feedback. The skillset is very different than any other physical therapy approach I've studied, and it is challenging at times, but has been worth every minute I have spent. This coursework not only gave me some new tools , I think it gave me a whole new toolbox.

I recently completed my third course offered by Fulcrum Institute, and I cannot recommend them enough. The instructor, Tim Bonack, is incredibly knowledgeable PT and DOMP, and I left each day of training feeling confident and empowered to apply the techniques in my clinical practice as an occupational therapist.

One of the most significant benefits of these courses is that there is no guesswork involved in how to start treating patients. Tim provides clear and easy-to-follow protocols for each technique, which allowed me to begin using them immediately in my practice. The techniques themselves are also incredibly effective, and I noticed significant improvements in my patients with the addition of only a few techniques. Manuals are given in an easy format with pictures and you have access to evidence and case studies that enhance your knowledge and clinical reasoning.

I highly recommend all courses offered by Tim to any healthcare professional looking to improve their skills and provide more effective treatment for their patients. The knowledge and expertise gained in these courses are invaluable, and I cannot imagine practicing without them.
